WHAT TO AVOID WITH CREATING WEBSITE TRAFFIC

We know there are many creative methods to get website traffic.  Once we get traffic to our website, we want to take precautions in making sure that we do not deter our visitors from returning to our websites.  Some of the common mistakes made are spam, getting caught up in website generators and using internet tricks, and compromising ourselves by falling prey to traffic sellers.  You should never pay for information that is available for free.

At all possible costs, we need to take care and not spam.  If your website creates bulk email or spam, then it is creating unsolicited mailings indiscriminately.  It is an abuse of the electronic messaging systems.  As such, it will not produce the results you had hoped for, which is to create more website traffic.  While you want to advertise your website, emailing in bulk will only produce adverse effects.  It is not worth the risk of losing out on website traffic as most spam that is generated will simply find its way into the trash bin without much visit to your website.  If you “dry-mail” people who never requested to receive any contact from your company, you are turning your website and company into a spam website.  So it is best to avoid the temptation of bulk mailing.  Be considerate of your potential visitor who may find it interesting to look into your website on her own.  Bulk mailing causes some domains to block you and have you reported as spam.

If the goal of your business is to be one that is set up for the long term, you will want to avoid website generators and other internet tricks.  These things are only effective temporarily.  They may help you build your website, and may even bring traffic to your website, but the effects are not for the longer term.  You are counting on your business being set up to be longstanding, and certainly not short-lived.

You owe it to your business and your website to check out the free submissions as there are sites that offer reliable and useful information that will help you attract more website traffic.  Do not pay cash for some information that you could have gotten for free.  It is also worth noting that not all paid sites are better than the ones that are free.  Once you have incorporated the free information, it is best to monitor it to determine if it is serving your website traffic to its best benefit.  You will want to stop using what works poorly and focus more on what is working well.  If what you have done has generated increased website traffic, then hang on to that and see if you can expand.  The word of caution is to never believe in promises that seem too good to be true.  It may turn out to be just that.  Promises are seldom brought into reality so it will always be worth your time to check the credentials.
