The founder of Burn Your To Do List, Rachel Rofe, has been online for several years now. She has an excellent reputation (why many clients initially sign up with us) and has run several successful internet businesses.

She knows the ins and outs of outsourcing (she did it herself before starting this company), and knows all too well what headaches in the past have been.

A lot of people have legitimate reasons why they’re hesitant to outsource, and we completely respect and understand them. We also do our best to take care of them. Let’s go through the conversation that’s probably going on in your head.

Resistance Reason #1:  ”I don’t want to have to train somebody… it’ll take just as long as if I did it myself!

We *completely* understand this. The whole reason you want to get into outsourcing is so that you can make things hands-off, right? If you have to train someone (someone you don’t even know at that!), how do you know they’re going to be competent? And you’re already ridiculously busy, how are you going to spend MORE time making training materials?

We get it.

That’s why our staff comes already trained.. AND we hold ongoing trainings with the team to make sure they’re on top of the latest trends.

We know some other freelancers get “stuck in their ways” and aren’t receptive or simply can’t afford the newest training. At Burn Your To Do List, we NEVER let our knowledge get stale. We test out new strategies constantly. If they work, we roll them out to our staff. If they don’t, we keep testing. We’re constantly up-to-date on internet marketing trends to make sure our clients are constantly relevant.

Our purpose is to make sure the team is serving you to the absolute best of our abilities.

Each staff member also has a project manager with several years of experience to turn to as well.

When you work with us, you can feel confident that you’re partnering with a team who’s already very knowledgeable and will proactively look for solutions if they need to.

Resistance Reason #2:  ”How do I know they’ll do a good job?”

You will receive a progress report on every completed task that you can check.

Resistance Reason #3:  ”How can I trust someone I can’t see?”

We know that you might be hesitant. After all, although our services are priced very inexpensively compared to other places, you’re still spending a significant amount of money. Why should you be expected to invest your hard earned income into something that you’re not even sure about?

We have several systems in place to ensure your happiness:

a)  We have a month-to-month payment plan that you’re free to cancel at any time.

b)  The majority of our staff have been doing these job functions for 2 or more years now .

c)  We  have a SUPER-RIGOROUS, intensive interview process for all new hires.

We make sure that we’re only hiring well-trained, honest, hard workers who actively seek solutions instead of give excuses. When you hire one of our assistants, you hire one of the best possible people that you can work with.

Resistance Reason #4:  ”"What about communication barriers?”

Our thorough help desk system covers mostly everyone. However, if you want to explain in more detail, you can feel free to dictating a recording or make a video explaining what you’d like done so that everyone is on the same page.

Most of the time, once our providers know what you’re looking for, your job will be hands-off for the future.

Resistance Reason #5:  ”Is my information secure?”

Absolutely. We have confidentiality agreements in place with our staff, and you’re more than welcome to use any NDA agreement that you feel comfortable with. The last thing we want is for you to feel like you’re having to risk any proprietary business information. Our job is to EASE your stress, not add any on to it.
Resistance Reason #6 – Part 1 :  ”Is the cost worth it?”

For that, we would ask you what you feel your time is worth. Then we would ask you if you’re dealing with customer service issues, trying to get traffic to your website, answering emails, making calls, coming up with content for your blog, etc.

If you feel your time is worth more than $3 an hour (some of our tasks work out to that low rate) and you’re doing any of those tasks, then yes – the cost is worth it.

And because you’re freeing up your time so much, you’ll get to do more “big-picture” activities that help generate even more income, increase your productivity, let you spend more time out of your business, and save money in the long term.

Resistance Reason #6 – Part 2 :  ”Is the cost worth it?”

If you were to hire a competent virtual assistant, for example, you would likely have to pay upwards of $12 per hour for someone decent.

If you were to go with a traffic company, you’d need to invest thousands upon thousands of dollars for a final project – without even knowing if it’d work in the interim (because of our monthly plan, we can immediately course correct).

Truth be told, you MAY find cheaper outsourcing companies in India or the Philippines. The difference, though, is the quality of work. It’s nowhere near what Burn Your To Do List boasts.

Many of those offshore outsourcing companies have broken English, can’t understand directions, or grossly overcalculate the amount of time it takes for them to do each task.
